US Marine Corps CPL Aaron Smith served 4 years with 1 ^st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA.  Aaron is the son of Andrew and Pauline (Dohi) Smith. He was born of the Tódich'ii'nii clan, born for Hashk'ąą hadzohi , his maternal clan is Áshįįhi , and his paternal clan is T ł 'ízí lání .

Aaron has the characteristics of Honor, Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Loyalty, and Unselfishness.  His passion for helping and serving others led him to choose a career in law enforcement.  Aaron's ambitions led him to obtaining an Associate's degree in Law Enforcement Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Administration.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Joni; his children: Aaron Jayden, Ashley, and Antonio Fred; his granddaughter: Leia Skye-lynn Howard; his parents: Andrew and Pauline; his siblings: Montie, and Andrea Hamilton.

He has always been a loving and supportive father and husband.  A son, brother, friend, and most proudest title – Cheii.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00 am followed by Funeral Mass at the San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001. Interment with Military Honors will conclude services at Citizens Cemetery.
