Adela Navarro was welcomed into the loving arms of the Father in heaven as he pronounced her his angel. She left us on September 15, 2008, in Prescott, AZ where she resided for the past 10 years. Adela was married to her 'corazon', Raymond P. Navarro for 67 years. They were married in Flagstaff, AZ by Monsignor Albouy at Our Lady of Guadalupe church.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents Hilario & Enedina (Sanchez) Navarro. Her parents gave birth to three sisters—Hortensia, Mary, and Elvira and four brothers—Ralph, Willie, Joe (Chema) and Henry. All are deceased except for the baby of the family, Henry.
Adela is survived by her husband, son, Rudy (Delores); daughter, Rosemarie (Peter); two grandsons Rudy and Randy (Margaret). Four great grand kids also survive—Victor, Victoria, Desiree, and Tony.
Adela and Ray were very social in the Flagstaff community. They loved to lead wedding marches, enjoyed dancing, and traveled to many places where their love grew and found many friends. She was an avid collector of antiques, an advocate for healthy eating, and a solid disciple for the works of the Lord. Her words of constant inspiration were 'to be positive and not complain. To complain is a sin'.
All will remember her for her generosity, kindness, and willingness to befriend those in need. Her family will remember Mom, "Lita", "Paloma Blanca", and her endearing smile. Go in peace, mom, to continue to love and serve the lord in heaven. Watch down upon us and keep us safe until we meet together. Vaya con Dios.
In lieu of Flowers, memorials can be sent in the name of Adela Navarro to the Margaret T. Morris Center, 844 Sunset Avenue, Prescott, AZ 86305.
