Agnes Gomez, 75 of Flagstaff died February 23, 2008. Mrs. Gomez was born on May 25, 1932 in Paterson, N.J.

Mrs. Gomez moved to Flagstaff in 1976 with her family. She worked for many years at W.L. Gore before retiring in 1998.

She enjoyed gardening and travel. More than anything else, she enjoyed hosting gatherings of friends and family, with lots of food and laughter.

Mrs. Gomez is survived by daughters, Jane (Al) Hoffman of Kauai, Hawaii, Jean (Kirby) Horner of Flagstaff and Kathleen (Joe) Rochin, of Lumbumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo; sons John Gomez, Terry Gomez, Mickey Gomez and Tim (Pat) Gomez, all of Flagstaff; sisters Rose Lembo of Toms River, N.J. and Catherine Kitchell of Manahawkin, N.J.; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gomez was preceded in death by husband, James, son Tom and sisters, Margeret Lang, Elizabeth Powers and Anna Picarillo and brothers John McKernan, Edward McKernan, Thomas McKernan and Charles McKernan.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 Thursday, morning, February 28, 2008 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Citizens Cemetery, Flagstaff, Arizona.
