Alan Davies

Alan Davies, 76, of Flagstaff passed away January 3, 2007 at Flagstaff Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1930 in the Rhondda Valley, South Wells, Great Britain. He came to Flagstaff with his mother in 1946 after WWII. He worked for the sawmill in Happy Jack for a time and the became employed with El Paso Natural Gas in 1950. He worked the pipeline until his retirement in March of 1986 as Pipeline Supervisor.

He enjoyed is life in Flagstaff but his heart was always in South Wells. He enjoyed his visits to see family and gratefully his was able to go back often and spend a month at a time. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching birds and his visits with his friends at Crazy Bill's.

Mr. Davies is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann and daughter Glynda and her husband Jeff O'Clair, Ken and Marilyn Griffiths and Several other cousins in South Wells. He is also survived by his half brother and half sister Dave Edson and Helen Womack.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 Tuesday, afternoon, January 9, 2007 at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66.
