Alberto Resendez, 61, of Flagstaff, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix. Mr. Resendez was born on November 24, 1943 in Durango, Mexico to Juan and Estefana Soria Resendez. He immigrated to the United States in 1968 and has lived in Illinois and Texas working construction until retiring in 1990 at which time he and his family moved to Flagstaff. His passion was tending to his garden and spending time with his family.



Mr. Resendez is survived by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Resendez, children, Alberto (Irasu) Resendez, Olga Resendez, Lorenzo Resendez, Maria Resendez, Rosaura Resendez all of Flagstaff, two grandchildren, Johan and Bianca Resendez, brothers and sisters, Josefa Estrada of Prescott, Francisco Resendez of Mexico, Lorenza Resendez of Prescott Valley, Savino Resendez of Juarez, Mexico.



An evening vigil and holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 13 at 7:00 P.M. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S. Kendrick. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Center, 2257 E. Cedar Ave. Officiated by the Reverend Chauncey Winkler. Burial will follow service at the Calvary Cemetery, 201 W. University Ave.
