Obituary

Alice M. Cancino, 77 of Flagstaff died Tuesday, September 21st, at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Alice was born May 12th, 1933 in Alameda, NM to Miguel Montano and Selsa Saiz. She was married to Louie Cancino and just celebrated their 56th anniversary in August.

She and Louie owned and operated Flagstaff Rewind for 30 years and she went on to retire as secretary to the President at Northern Arizona University.

Alice has been a long-time member of the United States Bowling Congress and Arizona Bowlerettes, where she competed both locally and nationally in various tournaments. She enjoyed and was very talented in tole painting.

In the later years, Alice excelled at loving her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all their activities.

Alice is survived by her husband Louie; children, Angela Gallagher, David (Dahna) Cancino, and Diane Cancino; brothers, Johnnie Montano and Mike Montano; grandchildren, Alyssa Gallagher, Christian, Nicholas, and Alister Cancino; niece, Dolores (Bob) Schrader; nephews Danny and Mike Cancino and many other bereaved family members.

Holy Rosary will be at 9:30am Saturday September 25th at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 10am
