Our precious Amber Nicole de Leon was born April 27, 1986 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Rick de Leon and Jill Renee Williams.  She passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on June 23, 2019 with her Dad by her side.

Growing up, Amber explored the country with her parents.  The family moved to Mt. Vernon, IL to Woodland, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, and San Jacinto California eventually back to Flagstaff.  Amber gained valuable life experience through meeting many people and being active in their lives.  The experience helped to make her the person she became.  She made friends everywhere she went.

Amber's love of life was varied and endless.  She had an extreme passion for hiking, collecting wildflowers, caring for children, giving to those that were homeless or needing help.  Amber loved the California coast and enjoyed skim boarding.  She had a great love for all animals, especially for her turtles, Shelly and Sheldon.  Amber had numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.  She created a unique bond with each one of them as she paid attention to their passions.  She unselfishly learned to understand their likes and needs to create a strong relationship.  She spent countless hours with her younger cousins, babysitting or just playing with them.  She would come home exhausted but full of love.  Amber loved music and dancing.  She listened to everything from Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd to Milky Chance.  Amber enjoyed cooking.  She loved pasta, salads, fruit, natural juices, tacos and burritos.  She was a nibbler, at least 8 small meals a day.  It was amazing how long she could make a single taco last or what purse you would find that last bite in.  Amber always carried a backpack with food, snacks and water.  Most of it was for the people she would meet as she was taking a walk or hike.  Some of her most memorable experiences and accomplishments included wilderness camps as a child, numerous hikes to places such as Point Reyes, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.  All preparing Amber for her 14,000 ft climb to the top of Mt. Shasta.

Amber is survived by her Parents, Rick de Leon and Jill Renee Williams.

Amber's Celebration of Life will be 2pm, Friday, July 5 ^th at Norvel Owens Mortuary.  A reception will follow at Bushmaster Park South Ramada from 4pm-7pm.

Amber loved her tie-dye t-shirts and the color purple.  Please feel free to wear either.
