Ann Burke born in 1951, beloved wife to Michael Burke, of Flagstaff Arizona, died at peace January 6th 2017 in the presence of her siblings and her daughter.

Ann was born in South Shore Hospital in Chicago, the first of her family born in America. She lived in Grand Crossing neighborhood and later Chicago's East side where she graduated from Washington H.S., later attended and graduated from College with a BS in Education. She married William Sherefkin and moved to Israel where she lived for twenty years and had her four wonderful children, Amele, David, Emile, and beautiful daughter Sheli. She became a fluent Hebrew speaker, loved and lived a full life as in the Jewish faith. She became certified and taught school in special education. Returning to Northern Arizona she reunited with her sisters and mother. Struggled for peace of mind and found love and eventually the friendship and strength from good people who became her dear friends in Flagstaff.

She was a wonderful sister and a good friend to all who shared her life. Her dearest friends were the wonderful people of the Flagstaff sober community who shared her struggle and celebrated her triumphs.

We miss her smiling face and love her for being of our clay and spirit.

A beautiful Jewish service was held in Flagstaff with burial in Ash Fork, Arizona on Monday January 9, 2016.
