Arthur Russell Harsh passed away July 30, 2018 after a hard battle with endocarditis and systemic infections.

His short life was spent living and loving music, making motion pictures, loving horses, his children, cats friends and his family. As a very young man, he loved playing football and baseball until an injury sidelined him. As he was growing he gravitated to music, had many friends and formed a band known as Cranium Vex. The band would rock the neighborhood until being chastised by the boys in blue. Art, as he was known, graduated from Coconino High School in 1987. He dabbled in real estate, graduated from a music school in Ohio, learned equine massage therapy, attended an acting academy, worked at a film company in California and was employed at music stores in Flagstaff. He became a luthier and dove into many other things that interested him. He learned to fish from his Big Brother while in that wonderful program, and kept that love alive.

He moved to Sedona to get out of the "damned snow".

Art became a care giver at Sedona Winds and loved all of his charges. He believed everyone had and has a story to tell if we just stop to listen. From those stories of the people who lived it, he said we could learn more history than reading it from a book.

Art leaves behind, a son, Kirk Thomas Harsh with mom Cindy Staehli of South Carolina, a daughter, Hailee Renee Harsh with mom Alii Castro, of Illinois, a brother Duane Harsh of Santa Barbara, Ca. a sister Marian of Flagstaff, her children, Sierra, and Mariah of Flagstaff and Dakota Heald of Fort Benning Ga., his mom, Leora "Lee" Harsh of Flagstaff,  Aunt, Lenaya Echola, Flagstaff, cousin Lee Echola, Crystal Falls, Mi., uncle Peter Oss, Crystal Falls, many more wonderful; relatives in the U.P. Of Mich.,Ill., Wisc, N. D. and some recently found in San Jose , Ca, a host of friends in Flagstaff, Richard Maestas, Brian Allen, Larry Bridges, Lyn Selby, Jackie Long and David Stephens, Pat and Charlotte Madden who are always there, and so many others and Arts lifelong and early childhood friend, Thomas Fields of Oregon.

His very special girlfriend, Regina Bartz of Cottonwood and her daughter Sierra became a lifeline to mom Harsh and can never be thanked enough.

There will be a celebration of his life August 19, 2018 at Bushmaster park 12 noon to 4 PM. Please be casual and wear black if possible. He always chose black because it took the choice out of what one had to wear everyday.
