Obituary

Avery Curet was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 24, 1999. He passed away in Stanford, California on November 8, 2022.

Avery loved rock climbing, mountains, sunflowers, music, and unexpected adventures. He enjoyed exploring trails barefoot, trying his hand at new crafts, and dancing harder than anybody else at the party. Avery embodied kindness, generosity, passion, and warmth in everything he did, and to know him was to feel oneself appreciated and understood. Avery's life was the pursuit of worthwhile human experience and the enjoyment of life's many beauties.

Avery is survived by his mother, Teresa, his father, Ismael, his three brothers, Chaz, Dylan, and Trey, his extended family and friends, and his pet rats, Scarlet and Willow. We are eternally grateful for the time we were able to share with him. Not a day will go by that we do not miss him and his irreplaceable spirit. To all of those he met and impacted on his journey, he will always be the meaning of unconditional love.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williams, Arizona. Avery will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery following the mass. Arrangements were made by Norvel Owens Mortuary in Flagstaff, Arizona.
