On February 1, 2021 Barbara B.  Padilla left this world surrounded by her 3 children, Carlos Padilla of Henderson NV, Connie Padilla-Meraz of Flagstaff AZ, and Irene Montano of Flagstaff Az.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mariano Baca Sr. and Delfa Perea and her two brothers Alfred Baca and Danny Baca.  She is survived by her sisters Sandra Marti and Gertrude Smith, and brothers Robert Baca and Mariano Baca Jr. and her Godson Gerard Gutierrez.

She left a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren

Barbara was a lifetime auxiliary member of the VFW post 1709 women's auxiliary.

She was involved in various civic activities and was known for her selfless deeds in the community.

She retired from Flagstaff Medical Center where she took pride in her work and loved putting up the yearly Christmas lights.

She was a self-made master gardener and was knowledgeable of every plant or flower that is visible to her eye.   Everywhere she went she could name the plants or flowers by their correct name.

She will be missed dearly by those whom knew her, especially the grandchildren. She was the silly "Nana" who loved them.

She was an avid sports fanatic and always had her TV on Basketball games or her favorite show Nancy Grace.

She was an amazing softball player/Coach

She was a strong loving parent, friend, grandparent.

Till we meet again, until then we will carry your memory in our hearts.

Services will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 2pm at Norvel Owens Mortuary. The service will be recorded and viewed through Facebook Live on the mortuary's Facebook page.
