Barbara Ann Rice passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2023. She was 82. Barbara is survived by her devoted children Todd Rice and Tracye Lederer, her cherished grandchildren Kyle, Ryan, Katelyn and Noah and 4 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her love, Doug Skiff.

Barbara was born & raised in Scottsdale, Arizona and moved to Flagstaff after graduating from Scottsdale High School to attend NAU. While attending NAU she met Tyke Rice, whom she later married and raised their family together.

Although Barbara was petite in stature she was a force of nature, who graced Flagstaff for many years with her unwavering spirit. She owned the Dairy Queen on Milton in the late 1970's and employed many Flagstaff High School students. She later became a highly successful realtor and was known for her professionalism and good humor. She gave back to her community by her long involvement with Soroptimist International. Barbara enjoyed traveling and seeing the world as much as gardening and spending time with her family teaching them how to roll grape leaves and making many Middle Eastern dishes. She cherished her lifelong friendships and relatives near and far. We will miss her so very much.

May her memory be an eternal source of comfort and inspiration to all who were touched by her extraordinary presence.
