Obituary

Barbara Ellen Fisher, Werden-Baker was born May 9, 1926 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, the daughter of William J. Fischer and Beulah (nee) Clark. She became a child of God by the Sacrament of Holy Baptism in 1965 and confirmed those vows in the Lutheran church in Payson, Arizona on July 30, 2005. Barbara worked as a pharmacy tech, in food service and catering. After retiring she volunteered numerous hours at Boswell hospital, and here at Fountain of Life in the choir and driving our golf cart to pick up our many handicapped people in the parking lot and bring them to the front door.
She was preceded in death by her brother Elmon and her husband of 45 years of marriage and one son, Donald Werden. Barb is survived by her son, William Werden, and her daughter Mary Ellen Baker-Clark, five Grand Children, eleven Great Grandchildren and three Great-Great-Grand-Children.
Barb was called to her eternal rest on Friday December 11, 2009 after suffering a major stroke in Flagstaff. She reached the age of 83 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sat. Dec. 19th, at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church 15630 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at East Resthaven Cemetery.
