Benjamin Arthur Hesketh, 19, died in a car accident near Lake Mary early Saturday morning, July 26, 2008.

Ben was born October 5, 1988. He attended DeMiguel Elementary, Flagstaff Middle and Flagstaff High Schools. He was a student at the University of Arizona. Ben's love of sports blossomed into a passion to help rehabilitate injured athletes and sports injuries. He planned to become a physical therapist so that he could give others the chance to overcome physical difficulties and setbacks and achieve their goals and dreams.

Ben is survived by his parents, Mary Lara and Jack Hesketh, and his brother, Matt Hesketh, all of Flagstaff. Survivors also include half-brothers, Eric and John Hesketh, Phoenix; paternal grandmother Eleanor Hesketh, Flagstaff; and maternal grandfather Chuck Lara, Rye, Colorado. Ben is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Ben blessed us with 19 beautiful years. He approached life with a fun-loving, optimistic attitude. Always curious and inquisitive, Ben was outgoing and enjoyed learning about the world around him. He cared deeply for others and had a special way of making people feel comfortable, accepted and loved. He worked hard to develop strong and lasting connections with people. He inspired them to have fun and live life to the fullest. He will be missed very much.

Services will be held at Christ's Church, 3475 E. Soliere Avenue. Friday August 1st at 2:00 PM. Reception following at the home of Bonnie Feather, 1015 North Navajo Drive, Flagstaff.
