Betty Lucille Brown, 86, peacefully died in her sleep on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. She demonstrated loving nature to those she came in contact, sharing her sense of humor and devotion to family and friends. Her family and all that knew her will dearly miss her stories and laughter.
She was born June 7, 1924 in Edison, Nebraska, third of eight to Desi and George White. She lived her early years and later years in her hometown of Edison. She spent her other years in Oregon, Arizona, Alaska and California. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, researching family genealogy, serving others, but mostly she loved visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her two children, Frank Brown (Geralyn) of San Diego and Sue Coté (Robert) of Flagstaff, eight grandchildren (Christopher, Troy, Leticia, Emi, Jennifer, Coreena, Mollie, and Glenn) and 5 great-grandchildren (Eugene, Alexander, Jeremiah, Maia, and Tegan).
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 10:00 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 2401 E. Linda Vista Drive, Flagstaff. Graveside services will be held at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, NE at noon Saturday, Oct. 16.
