Brian Duff Burns, 79, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Born on February 8, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, Duff lived a life marked by dedication, service and quiet strength.

A proud alumnus of Miami University in Oxnard, Ohio, Duff pursued a career that reflected both his intellect and his interpersonal gifts. He excelled as a top clinical sales professional, earning the respect of both colleagues and clients. Later in life, he found joy and purpose as a tour guide at the Grand Canyon, sharing the natural beauty of the Southwest with visitors from around the world.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Duff served his country with distinction as a Navy Frogman in Underwater Demolition Team 12-an elite unit that laid the groundwork for today's Navy SEALs. His military service was a source of pride and shaped his lifelong values of discipline and perseverance.

Duff was deeply devoted to his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Maureen Burns; daughters, Julie Barbarini, Erin Hartin, and Caitlin Pineda; step-son James Drago; brother Doug Burns; and sister Debi Burns. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Burns, and mother, Betty Bischoff.

Outside of work and family life, Duff nurtured a variety of interests that reflected his thoughtful nature. He enjoyed woodcarving and coin collecting-hobbies that spoke to his patience and attention to detail. A voracious reader and lover of the beach, he found peace in quiet moments and joy in simple pleasures.

His deep personal faith was a guiding force throughout his life. Those who knew him best describe him as patient, loving, and constant-a steady presence whose kindness left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
