Obituary

Cairl Lee Cass, 63 of Williams passed away November 24, 2006. He was born June 17, 1943 in Silver City, New Mexico to Cairl and Bruley Cass.

At the age of 14 he went to work on the Goss Ranch in Silver City where he road fence until entering the service. He was in the U.S. Navy for 4 ½ years. After the service he worked in California at Cutter Laboratories before opening his own Electrical Service which he ran until becoming disabled at the age of 50. In 1998 he moved to Williams to enjoy his retirement and was part owner in Canyon Feed and Supply.

He enjoyed the out doors, fishing, and sitting by a camp fire. He enjoyed animals. In California he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Elk's Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion, Mark A. Moore Post #3, in Flagstaff.

Mr. Cass is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susan Cass, of Williams, daughter, Denise Shoemaker (Terry) of California, step-son Robert Rhea of California sister, Grace Byron, of Arkansas, brother, Burl B. Cass of Arkansas, brother-in-law Jeff (Karen) Gipson of California. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at 1st Southern Baptist Church, 629 W. Grant in Williams, AZ.

Family requested expressions of sympathy be in the form of flowers or donations to the ARIZONA STATE VETERAN HOME, 4141 NORTH THIRD STREET, PHOENIX AZ, 85012 or the American Legion, 204 W. Birch Ave. Flagstaff, Arizona 86001 for disabled Veterans.
