Flagstaff
Caroline Berneice Currie, 71, passed peacefully, and safely, into the arms of Jesus on October 2, 2019 at her home in Flagstaff. Funeral services will be held Friday October 11 th at Christ's Church of Flagstaff at 11am.
Caroline was born February 20, 1948 in Houston, TX to Effie and Homer Currie. In May 1967 Caroline married Curtis Gene Hamilton and they had two sons, Hayden and Collin. Caroline worked for Flagstaff Unified School District where she ran the print shop until she retired.
In her younger days, Caroline was in high school chorus where she went to All State 3 years in a row as well as lettered in Chorus. She had a beautiful voice and she was not afraid to share it with others. Caroline loved to sing and she played piano. She could play any song as she was able to play by ear. While in high school she was also involved in FHA and was a cheerleader.
Caroline was an amazing mom, and loyal friend, who worked hard her whole life to care for those she loved. She would always make you laugh and smile. She was a Feisty but Godly woman.
Caroline was very active in her grandchildren's lives, never missed a baseball game or activity her grandkids were involved in. Caroline loved to cook, hunt and fish. She loved her grandchildren and two sons dearly.
Caroline is survived by her two sisters, Ronna and Shirley, her son Collin Hamilton and her grandchildren, Chase and Ashlee Hamilton. Her son Hayden preceded her in death in 2010.
Caroline will be missed deeply but is resting easy with her Savior.
