Carolyn Lee Yount, 57, of Parks passed away July 10, 2008 in a motor vehicle accident. She was born March 4, 1951 in Richmond, Virginia to Robert and Dorothy Yount. She was raised in Richmond and spent many summers, and a few years in Miami Florida. She graduated from J.R. Tucker High School. She moved to Arizona to Arizona in 1975. In 1984 she gave birth to her only child, Richard Ranck, who she summoned her life around. She dedicated her everything to raising her son, and loved spending time with her family.

Carolyn graduated from Longwood College of Virginia with a Bachelors of Science Degree and then furthered her education by attending Northern Arizona University. She has worked for the Arizona State Department of Economic Security of the past 18 years. Carolyn also loved her animals and was a breeder for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the Recreation Centers volunteering her time with kids with sports. She loved the beach and also loved to shop.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Richard Ranck (Lacey Shearer) and her sister, Dottie Yount.

Services will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 16 W. Cherry St.
