Charles Edward "Chuck" Hartman died peacefully in Flagstaff, AZ on March 20, 2016 at the age of 81.
Chuck was born on April 19, 1934 in Piqua, OH to Harry and Murel Hartman. He attended Piqua Central High School until 1953 and served in the United States Air Force from 1953 until 1957. After his service with the Air Force, he went on to pursue a career in computer programming. He retired from the Pepsi Cola Company as a computer programmer in 1987. Upon his retirement, he moved with his family to Venice, FL, where he spent his free time volunteering at the Taylor Ranch driving range and making golf clubs to sell to fellow golf enthusiasts. In 2001, Chuck moved to Flagstaff, AZ to rekindle an old romance and marry his wife, Leilani.
He is survived by his wife, Leilani Hartman of Flagstaff, AZ; his brother, Russell "Buck" Hartman of Piqua, OH; his son, John Hartman of Venice, FL; his daughter, Jennifer Hiler and his grandson, Owen Hiler, both of North Port, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Murel Hartman and his sister Barbara "Bobbie" Hartman, all of Piqua, OH.
