Cheryl W. Thomas, 49 of Phoenix, AZ passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cheryl was born November 20, 1956 in Durham, North Carolina. She was the eldest of four children born to Dr. and Mrs. William J. Thomas.
She attended Flagstaff Public Schools graduating in 1975 from Flagstaff High School.
She had exceptional talent for the arts. She played second violin in the Flagstaff
Symphony in the late 1970's. Cheryl also took great joy in oil painting, sewing, and
cooking.

Cheryl is survived by her sister Sharon L. Sanford of Flagstaff and brothers William J.
Thomas Jr. (Don), and Dr. Douglas E. Thomas (Jill) of Phoenix. One niece Sarah E.
Rosell of Flagstaff, and two nephew's Ryan W. Thomas and Connor D. Thomas of
Phoenix.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parent's Dr. and Mrs. William J. Thomas, and her
nephew Earl L. Rosell.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cheryl's memory to Hospice of the Valley
(Sherman Home) at 5801 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054-4503

A public visitation will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday, at Citizens Cemetery.
