Obituary

Christine Sandoval, devoted wife and mother passed away on July 21st, 2017 at home in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Born Feb. 13, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Robert and Ethel Bergstrom they soon moved to Ventura Cal. where they lived on the The Rincon, a stretch of beach north of Ventura where Chris and her brother Jeff were able to live a rich and carefree youth. After graduating from high school Christine went on to Jr. College where she received a degree in the Arts.

Christine met the love of her life Simon Sandoval in Oct. of 1968 and were married two years later. After working for several years as a dietitian in Santa Barbara, Christine left her position to devote her time to Simon and her daughter Singne. They soon moved to Flagstaff where she became the face of their in home business Si's sporting goods, where they fixed Colman equipment and fishing reels for over 30 years. Chris also created a warm and loving home for not only her family but neighborhood kids and any stray animal that came around. Chris's love of animals and others was known by all as she always had a rescue puppy at her side or a blanket and sack of food to pass out.

Proceeded in death by her parents Robert & Ethel Bergstrom, Brother Jeff Bergstrom. Survived by her loving husband Simon Sandoval, daughter Singne Slayton (Preston), grandchildren Jessica Lashley, Zachary Delphia, Kegan Slayton and Cole Slayton.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday July 29th, 2017 at 4PM, Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 Rte 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Burial will be at a later date in Santa Barbara, Cal. where she called home.
