Christopher F.
Horn
Oct 16, 1963 — Mar 4, 2023
Christopher Floyd Horn, age 59 of Flagstaff, passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 4th, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. Chris touched many lives as a father, son, uncle, brother and best friend to many. Chris could pull a motor apart and put it back together again as fast as he could talk, build a rifle with his eyes closed, and park an 18-wheeler wherever it was needed. He had a passion for his country, family and the outdoors. His outgoing, goofy, and caring personality could quickly turn a stranger into a great friend. It didn't matter who was in the room, his 'no filter' sense of humor could disarm or embarrass just about anyone within hearing distance, and leave them all laughing!
Chris was born in the Mount Holly Hospital and grew up in Brown's Mills, New Jersey. After graduation from Votech School, he raced enduro motocross motorcycles up and down the east coast until age 26. He had a 1978 Ford ambulance that he converted for his wheels, in which he would pack up his dirt bikes and tools to travel throughout the east coast states to compete. People used to wait for him at check points because they knew he would give them a show!
Chris was married in 1990 to Babette. His eldest daughter Taylor was born in 1993 and second daughter, Cayti (Catherine) in 1995. He moved to Arizona in 1997 and was married to Kim for 20 years, having son Matthew in 2000 and having daughter Tori in 2004. He graduated from Yavapai College in 2003 with a degree in Gunsmithing. Chris was also a 4H Leader who dedicated lots of time to teaching small engine repair and shooting sports.
Chris is survived by his mother, Helen Horn, brother Jeff Horn, sister Christy Lee, daughter Taylor (Jonathan) Warrick, daughter Catherine Horn, daughter Tori Horn, son Matthew Horn, and his two grandsons, Colton and Odin. Preceded in death by George Bud Graves Horn Jr.
