Obituary

Clara (Hellmuth) Lytle, 91 of Cottonwood, formerly of Rimrock and Flagstaff, passed away peacefully on December 27th 2008. She was born on October 16th 1917 in Napoleon, North Dakota to John H. and Eva (Schnabel) Hellmuth.

Clara married Gordon H. Lytle, with whom she shared her life for 52 years. She is survived by their four children, Robert (Susan) Lytle of Flagstaff, Frieda Lytle of Cottonwood, Bonnie Edwards of Cottonwood, and Peggy (Robert) Darby of Bellemont. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a brother, William (Laura) Hellmuth of Napoleon, North Dakota.

Clara, was employed at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, California as an aircraft technician, and worked in the bakery department at several grocery stores in Flagstaff, Arizona. Clara was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers and vegetables of all kinds, crocheting, canning, baking bread and sweet delights. She was a 39 year breast cancer survivor. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a persistent worker and a gentle person who loved life to the fullest and enjoyed being with family and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, beautiful smile, and contagious laughter.

She was an active member of the Verde Valley Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cottonwood Arizona. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 3rd 2009 at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1310 S. Highway 260 in Cottonwood AZ.
