Clarence Brooks Jr. was born on April 24, 1962, to Clarence and Orene Brooks in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was raised in Flagstaff, where he graduated from Cocoinino High School in 1980.

After high school, Clarence worked various cooking jobs around Flagstaff. He truly enjoyed cooking and watching football, and he was a deeply devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Later in life, he decided to change careers and become a truck driver. He attended and graduated from the Swift Trucking School at age of 36. He went on to have a long career on the road, retiring from CTI Trucking Company on May 5, 2026.

Clarence was well-known throughout Flagstaff and had friends all over town. He was recognized for his incredibly big heart; he would help anyone in need and would gladly give everything he had to support someone else. Clarence was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Above all, he loved being and uncle. Clarence shared a unique and special bond with all his nieces and nephews, who deeply loved their "Uncle Jr." He adored spoiling them, always taking them to the store for candy and soda.

Clarence Jr was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Orene Brooks; his brother Henry; and his sister, Karen.

He leaves behind his brothers, Darrean (Shon) and Greg (Crystal); seven nieces; one nephew; two great-nephews; seven great nieces; and one great-great -niece. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Clarence will be truly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of his life will be 11:00 am Friday, August 7, 2026 at Norvel Owens Mortuary.
