On December 13, 2016 America lost another member of the Greatest Generation. A true American cowboy. Clem Thomas Rogers passed away at his home in Joseph City, Arizona. He was born on February 18, 1921 in Joseph City, Arizona, where he lived his entire life. He was drafted into United States Army in 1942, where he went overseas to New Guinea and the Philippines. He was very proud of his service in the military. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1946 after four years in the service and returned back home in Joseph city. He worked on a few ranches in Arizona, and rode the rodeo circuit for a while. Then said he had to get a real job and started working for ADOT until he retired in 1982. Upon retirement he worked with his long time buddy and sidekick Brantley Baird on a ranch called "THE ROCK ART RANCH ". He enjoyed every minute of it. He broke horses for numerous people up until he was 70 years old. He had a great deal of knowledge about horses and cattle; he was the one to ask.

Clem is survived by his children. daughters Verleen Rogers and Ardelis Rogers; sons Milford Rogers, Wayne (Margaret), Allen (Elaine), Terrill, Arlo (Jana), and Arlin (Bonnie); 25 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren, and two Brother's; Locey and Lynn Rogers. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Izetta Burk Rogers, his sister's Ada Cunningham and Pearl Reyne, brothers Rulon and Ben Rogers, and two grandsons Ivan Rogers and Terek Rogers.

Services will be Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Joseph City LDS Church in Joseph city, Arizona. The viewing will be 9 AM service at 10 AM. A graveside service with military honors will follow at the Joseph City Cemetery.
