Obituary

Craig Alan Schuster, 54, beloved son, father, grandfather, husband and friend, left this world on December 9th.

Craig was born on September 21, 1961 in Denver, CO. and grew up in Pasadena, CA. An all-around California boy, Craig was an accomplished athlete who excelled at baseball, football and a variety of other sports. Some of his greatest joys while growing up included riding dirt bikes with his dad in the California desert and skiing with his family at Mammoth Mountain.

After graduating Maranatha High School in 1979, Craig attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. Craig fell in love with the mountain lifestyle of northern Arizona and, after raising a family in the Phoenix area for 20 years, returned to Flagstaff in 2010.

Craig is survived by two families: the first includes his wife and soulmate Shannon "Sydniee" Schuster, parents Peg and Joe Schuster, son Justin Schuster, granddaughter Amilya, and his cousins Pam and Les Strunk. Craig's second family includes scores of friends and relatives too numerous to mention who will always treasure his generosity, sense of humor and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. Craig's legacy also includes his amazing array of computer skills, perennial support for the Arizona Cardinals, mad culinary abilities and unabashed devotion to the works of Jimmy Buffett. To this most beloved of Parrotheads we say…"Fins to the Left" and rest easy, Craig…you will always be remembered.

A celebration of Craig's life will be held in June 2016. Further details will be posted as known.
