Dale Benedict 73, died on May 16, 2019.  He leaves his wife Cyndi, daughter Melissa Benedict of Gallup, NM, sister-in-law Ginger Gibson & cousin Madalaine Van Epp of Springfield, MO.   Most people know Dale as a pilot and he was a good one.  Aviation was his passion as well as his profession.  He started flying with his Dad when he was 9 years old (so he said.)  He had other jobs too, turquoise trading, flying jobs with the Forest Service, crew member of the "Guppy" & air ambulance.  His most recent job was a  "house mechanic" since retiring.  Dale was in the Army a short time in the late 60's stationed in West Germany, where he made more friends & had fun flying all over Europe teaching people to fly.

He had a great love of the Southwest as evidenced by living most of his life there & exploring as many back country streams as possible, especially trout fishing.

Dale was a very caring man, very quiet at times who loved to read.  He loved his family & will be greatly missed by one dog & a lot of people.

His service will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany 423 N. Beaver Street, Flagstaff on June 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Reception to follow at his home, 2133 S. Tombaugh Way.
