Darron Mark Smith 53, died Thursday February 24, 2011. Darron was born March 23, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended school in Virginia and graduated from Annandale high school in 1976. Upon graduating high school Darron followed in the footsteps of his father and joined the United States Navy. After spending six years in the Navy he moved to Flagstaff, Arizona with his wife Monica in April of 1984 and started his family. Darron enjoyed doing anything that was adventurous and fun. He loved road trips, museums, coaching football, flying airplanes, watching Fox news, drinking Starbucks coffee, and anything that had to do with the military. Most of all Darron loved spending time with his wife and children. Mr. Smith is survived by Wife, Monica; Children, Danielle, Deana, and Justin; Mother, Margaret; and Brother, David. A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday March 4, 2011 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route. 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. In lieu of flowers the family wishes for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in Darron's name.
