Daryl Contryman, born May 12, 1939, died on March 2, 2007, in Flagstaff.
Daryl was born in Cedar City, Utah and moved to Ogallala, Nebraska in 1940.
He graduated from Custer High School in Custer, South Dakota in 1957. In
1960 he moved to Southern California and lived in Huntington Park and
Riverside, where he met Kathryn Beasley. They married in 1970 and moved to
Yuma, Arizona in 1972 and to Flagstaff in 1974. He earned his Bachelors of
Science in Accounting from Northern Arizona University in 1975 and earned
his CPA the same year. He practiced accounting with Sam Litzler and Larry
Gardner in Flagstaff and maintained the practice until 2007. He is preceded
in death by his father Dale Contryman and mother Maurine LaRue Contryman
Skinner. He is survived by his children Michelle Billings and Christina
Contryman, grandson Alec Bridges, sister Carol Contryman, and brothers Alan
Lowell and Bruce Lee and their wives Charon Kirk Contryman and Vickie Revell
Contryman. Daryl loved to hike the trails around Flagstaff and enjoyed a
daily stroll downtown. He was devoted to his business and was loved and
appreciated by his clients. Daryl was a much loved father, grandfather,
brother and friend. Services will be held on Saturday, March 10 at 1:30 at
