Memorial services for David Hancock Bealer will be held March 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winslow, Arizona. Dave was born November 25, 1929 in Phoenix, AZ and Died at his home in Winslow on February 24, 2011 after a long and courageous struggle with MS and cancer.
Dave served in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Guam, receiving an honorable discharge in 1954. He was employed by the AT & SF Railway Co. for 42 years as a locomotive engineer, retiring in 1991. Dave was also a lifetime member of F&AM Lodge #13.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Bobbi, sisters Annie Walton (Tom )and Mary Rublin (Robert), six children: Cynthia Stewart (Ian), Clifford Bealer (Lisa), Chip Cunningham, Lin Padilla, James Leander, and Evan Leander(Sara), and by nine grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Hansen Bealer and Eila Miriam Hancock, and infant son Shawn Bealer.
Dave will be remembered for his strength, generosity, "colorful language", and steadfast friendship.
