David Ronald Bell, 56, of Flagstaff, departed on his journey to join the Lord in heaven May 25, 2013. He fought courageously and stayed strong throughout his battle with ALS. He was born January 29, 1957 in Portales, New Mexico to Buddy and Peggy Sue Bell. Mr. Bell was a member of the armed forces as part of the US Navy Seabees and received awards and commendations for his service. He worked for Yellow Freight Transportation Systems for 20+ years. Mr. Bell enjoyed travel, hiking, and spending time with his grandkids. He also loved riding his Harley, bowling, softball, and coaching, He spent years as referee for youth and high school sports. He loved to share his knowledge of life with those close to him and had a great sense of humor.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife, Gail, and their three children, Kendra Ringle, Peggy J. Bell, and David J. Bell "Duke", his mother, Peggy Sue Bell, sister Kelly Bell, brother Doug Bell, many grandkids and nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Buddy Bell, and his brothers Darrin Bell and Danny Bell.

David Bell touched many hearts. Public viewing will be Friday from 5 to 7 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, Funeral Services will take place Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Lamb of God Bible Church, 2615 E. 7th Ave., Flagstaff, Arizona. The family would like to thank Nurses Network, Hospice Compassus and the Veterans Administration for their loving care.
