David Glen Cornelius, 58, of Flagstaff, died Sunday September 19, 2010 of an accidental death. He was born October 14, 1951 in Marion, Ohio. He attended Harding High School and Ohio State University. Dave worked for Honda Automotive manufacturer in Marysville, Ohio before moving to Arizona in 2006. He wan an historian, avid reader, and once published author for libraries and fishing. Dave was an active member and sponsor for the AA program and cooked for the Foundation House. He wanted to see those that needed rehabilitation find a better quality of life. His ongoing contribution, service, and sense of humor to the community will be remembered by many.
He is survived by his daughters: Sally Hatton, Kelli Joachim and son Cory Cornelius, their families and seven grandchildren; brothers: Larry W. Cornelius, John A. Cornelius, Dean W. Cornelius, and sister Laura Cornelius Craft. H was preceded in death by his parents Everett Cornelius and Dorothy Neef.
A Celebration of Life service, sponsored by family and friends, will take place October 9, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Grace Fellowship Church, 520 N. Switzer Canyon Dr. Flagstaff, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Foundation House of Flagstaff. There will also be a memorial service conducted for family and friends October 16, 2010 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Marion, Ohio at 1:00 pm.
