Deborah Marie Compton passed away August 3rd 2021. She was born in San Francisco March 19 1961 to Jim and Ruth Whitten. When she was a year old the 3 of them moved to Phoenix Az where the family grew.

Debbie grew up in the valley with her 3 brothers. She worked at Dairy Queen while she was in high school and continued to work through her college years at NAU where she earned her degree in business. She worked a few jobs before settling on her career working at a local print shop. Over the next 37 years she worked her way up and eventually purchased the business from the people that hired her. She was the owner of 5 Star Printing for the last 12 years of her life.

In 1990 on her 29th birthday she was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Even though at times it was devastating for her she'd work her way back to an active lifestyle and of course work. On June 2nd of this year she was struck by a car walking in a parking lot and was critically injured. She was again on her way to recovery but then life turned against her during her last 2 days.

Debbie is survived by her parents Jim and Ruth Whitten, brothers Dan (Kim), Scott (Debbie), Mike (Nic), brothers in-law Jim, Glenn (Bonnie), 3 nephews, 3 nieces, a great niece and nephew and her husband of 37 years Charlie, plus many cousins, aunts and uncles, countless friends and customers that will forever miss her presence.

A Memorial for Debbie will take place at Norvel Owens Mortuary on September 18th at 11:30 am. Although it's for a sad reason we should all remember during this time why she was loved by so many. It will be a casual gathering.
