Dorothy Harriet Hutsell Robertson
August 16, 1920 – March 11th 2011

Dorothy Robertson, longtime resident of Flagstaff, Arizona passed away peacefully at her home on March 11, 2011.

Born on August 16, 1920 in Nampa, Idaho, Dorothy was one of five children born to Olivea and Fred Hutsell. She spent the first 17 years of her life in Nampa, Idaho, and then moved to California. She attended community college where she took business and clerical coursework. She was employed in the clerical field by US Motors and married Fred W. Roberson in 1952. They relocated to Flagstaff in 1960 with their four children, where they owned and ran the DuBeau Motel and St. Anne Apartments form 1960 to 1977.

Dorothy was also employed by Northern Arizona University, where she worked in the registrar's office from 1972 to 1990 when she retired at age 70.

She was an active member or the Daughters of the American Revolution, and volunteered for many years at the History Center of the LDS Church. She was also a member of AARP and the Republican Women, where she held various offices.

Dorothy also volunteered many hours and was an active member of Flagstaff Federated Church since 1960.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Roberson. She is survived by her children, Shirley Didier of Salem, Oregon, Cindy Islas (Eddie) of Tucson, Arizona, Walter F. Roberson of Flagstaff, Arizona and Nancy Martinez (Andrew) of McMinnville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all that were blessed in knowing her.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at Flagstaff Federated Community Church, where she will be remembered for her commitment to family, friends and community. Service at 11:00 a.m., reception immediately following.
