Murray "Earl" Thorpe, 76, passed away July 1, 2008. He was born July 10, 1931 in Raton, New Mexico to Murray and Delana Thorpe.

On August 29, 1955 he married the love of his life Gladys Marie Tyson. Together they moved Flagstaff in 1964 where they have raised their family. Earl owned and operated Earls Radiator Shop for numerous years until his retirement. He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Gladys, daughters, Delana R. Wells (Robert), Fran Honnycutt (Robert Volk) and Sheryl Lee Stinespring (Marc); his siblings Doreen Prado, Ruth Werner and Robert Thorpe. Earl is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be 1:00 Saturday afternoon, July 5, 2008 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Veterans Section of Citizens Cemetery.
