Obituary

Clarence Edward Youngman, 80, of Flagstaff passed away September 5, 2006. He was born to Furry and Margaret Youngman October 2, 1925 in Warren, Ohio.

Ed graduated from Parks College of Engineering Aviation & Technology at St. Louis University in 1951. While attending college he was a member of Society of Automotive Engineers where he served as President, was secretary of Alpha Sigma Nu; President of Alpha Pi Sigma, Student Council President, ROTC Cadet Officers, AF ROTC Commanding Officer. He received the honor of a distinguished Military Student and 2nd place on Automotive Engineers Presentation of Student papers.

Ed served in US Army as a Heavy Machine Gunner and was a prisoner of War during WWII where he also received a purple heart. He then served in the US Air force during the Koran Conflict.

Ed is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy, sister Mary L. Stokes of Ravenna, Ohio and 3 nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. in the Veteran's Section of Citizens Cemetery.
