Edward C.
Leazier
Dec 28, 1949 — Apr 19, 2024
Edward (Eddie) Leazier age 74 passed into the arms of our Lord at Flagstaff Medical Center with his daughter, Trisha, and nephew, Joey Collins, and Niece-in-law, BrandyJo Collins, by his side on April 19, 2024.
Eddie was born on December 28th, 1949 in Somerset Pennsylvania, to Harry and Margaret Leazier.
Eddie was a medaled Vietnam Veteran. He didn't like to talk about his time there, however, when he returned home his father and brothers got him into racing.
Eddie met the love of his life, Monica, in 1983. Their relationship started off a little rocky when they had gotten into an accident that broke Monica's nose, but luckily their love survived. They lived in Pennsylvania for 5 years where their first child, Trisha, was born in 1987 and shortly thereafter they decided to move to Flagstaff Arizona to be closer to Monica's family. Eddie and Monica married on January 11th, 1988 in Flagstaff. Their second daughter, Jessica, was born in 1991.
Eddie was employed at Norquip as a heavy machine mechanic and was with them through several owner and name changes. He enjoyed working on most things with a motor. He was also a huge animal lover and was always rescuing dogs and bringing them home, even when it annoyed Monica that he would do so.
Eddie's daughters were his world and he worked hard to give them everything they wanted while also raising them to be strong, stubborn, independent, women. He adored his grandchildren and spoiled them every chance he got.
Eddie was a hardworking, generous, soul who tried to find the bright side of any situation. The light he brought to the world will be missed every day.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Monica Leazier. He is survived by his daughters, Trisha (Robert) Peralta and Jessica Leazier, Grandchildren, Kylie, Zen, and Alden, his pseudo daughter Nikki (Dakota) Floyd, his sisters-in-law Sadie (Scott) Gupton, Susan (Terry) Collins, and Shelia Dobson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial will be held at a time determined by the family
