Eldon Roth's Obituary
Dr. Eldon S. Roth passed away June 28, 2010 in Flagstaff at the age of 80. He had been in declining health in recent years. Dr. Roth was a long time resident of Flagstaff and a professor at NAU for many years.
He was born in St. Paul, MN, went through most of grammar school in Bishop, CA and graduated from Bishop High. He received a B.A. in geology from UCLA and spent 4 years in the army as an officer at NATO command in Heidelberg, Germany. Upon returning to the U.S. he completed a master's degree in engineering geology and taught several years at Barstow J.C. While there he earned a PhD in Educational Geology from USC. Upon graduation he received an appointment as assistant professor at NAU from which he retired.
Dr. Roth is survived by his brother Lester H. Roth of LA and a nephew, Lester E. Roth of San Diego.
