"A mom teaches love by living it." Our mom, Elizabeth Anne Beekman-Flemons was a woman filled with so much love and laughter. Her laugh was contagious and could be heard for miles. With much heartbreak and sadness, our mom Elizabeth left earthside December 6th, 2024 at the young age of 57, from her battle with Dementia. Lizzy left to go home and on a new journey with God in the presence of her two daughters.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona preceded by her parents Viola DeMiguel and Kenneth Wayne Beekman. Lizzy grew up in Coconino Estates alongside her brother Kenneth Wayne Beekman Jr. She attended Marshall Elementary, Flagstaff Middle, and graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1985. Liz then went on to complete her associates in early childhood development at Coconino Community College. In the early 90's Liz would volunteer her time at Headstart, where her two daughters attended. She became the official Miss. Liz soon after starting her career at the Flagstaff Kids Center. Liz went on to be a Preschool teacher for 20 plus years. She was always a proud Eagle. She had a profound influence on all of her students and families throughout the years. Her passion for teaching was more than just a job, it was her life. She taught many generations and left a long lasting impact that is still felt today.

Liz loved cooking and hosting parties for family and friends. Her warmth made everyone feel right at home. She had an eclectic taste in music and was always down for a good dance party. In her free time she loved to shop, especially to add to her impressive vans shoe collections. Her knack for art and creativity was expressed throughout her home and especially her classroom. She loved flowers and gardening. Liz was full of light, love and positivity.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Flemons and Lauren Palomino; husband Abel Salas; brother Kenny Beekman Jr.; aunt Christina Fresquez (Joe) she was a wonderful grandma to her three grandchildren Madisyn, Jamar Jr, and Denzel and was a wonderful mom to her beloved dog Chucho. Our mom was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed by many people, but the stories and memories will live on through us forever.
