Elizabeth "Betty" Woodward, 93, of Flagstaff passed away February 23, 2008. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on December 29, 1914 to Joseph and Jessie Major.

Mrs. Woodward was a graduate of the University of Iowa in the School of Business in the 1930's. She worked and retired from the San Diego City Public School system as a Secretary.

In 1992 she moved from La Mesa, California to Flagstaff to be near her family. She enjoyed her family and the time she had with them. Her favorite hobby was genealogy work.

Mrs. Woodward is survived by her daughter, Joan Armitage, grandson John Schultz and his wife Cathy. She is also survived by her two great grandchildren Kaylee and Reese.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John Henry Woodward in September 2006.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the Veterans Section of Citizens Cemetery.
