Obituary

Elizabeth Jane Babbitt, 85, died Dec. 7, 2007 in Prescott.

Babbitt was born in Two Rivers, Wisc. She served in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant nurse during World War II. Active in the Symphany Guild and Nativity Parish, she was also interested in bowling, golf, bridge, swimming and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Babbitt is survived by her daughters Linda (Jim) Woods, Polly (Alan) Smith, Ann (Bert) Howell, Jane (Mark) Stevens and Martha (Pepe) Chavez; her sons Teb Babbitt III, Ed (Loren) Babbitt and Matt (Kelly) Babbitt; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband R.G. (Ted) Babbitt Jr.; parents Juila and Raymond Zoerb; sister Pauline Montgomery; brother Raymond Zoerb Jr.; daughter Rosie Howes and son William Babbitt.

Rosary will be held on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at Nativity Church. Funeral mass will be held on Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at Nativity Church. Reception will follow at Betty's home, 335 E. David Drive.
