Elmer Ellsworth "Mike" Parsons left this world to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. He was born on November 26, 1919 in Stockton, California. He moved to Winslow with his family as a teenager, and spent the remainder of his 87 years here.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy "Jerry" Parsons. Mike retired from the Santa Fe Railroad after 44 years of dedicated service. Mike and Jerry enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, bowling, and daily card games. They have five children, Calvin (Cindy) Parsons, Eileen (Jerry) Sullivan, Barbara (Clarence) Tomes, Diana (David) Richardson and Debbie Williams. They have eighteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 1505 W. 3rd St. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon October 13th also at the Norvel Owens Mortuary.
