Elwin Wray Abel, 72, of Flagstaff, passed away May 2, 2010. He was born September 25, 1937 in Muskogee, OK. His life's job, as well as his enjoyment, was his carpentry work. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved to write poetry in his spare time.

Mr. Abel is survived by his daughter Paula Abel, two brothers: Joe Abel and Charles Abel, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Abel, his mother, Mildred UllaDean Abel and his brother James Abel.

A service of remembrance will take place Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Rose Arbor Residence, 3220 Gillenwater, Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.
