Eric Randall Pellatz, 31, passed away on May 5, 2016. Eric was born on April 16, 1985 in Gillette, Wyoming, to Randall and Gayle Pellatz. He grew up with his sister, Abigail Pellatz, in Gillette, Wy and Flagstaff, Az.

Eric graduated with a degree in Personal Training from the National Personal Training Institute. After completion, he pursued his dream of playing basketball and walked on to the South Mountain Community College basketball team as a forward. He later attended NAU and CCC, completing certification programs in Parks and Recreation, Nursing and Emergency Medical Technology.

Eric had a passion for helping people and was always rooting for the underdog. He worked hard to write and publish a book: Fitness - The Simple Way to a Better Life. He was involved in martial arts for several years and appreciated the challenges that came along with learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He participated in competitions and was able to earn his Purple Belt.

Eric was a lover of sports, animals, music, and having a good time. His family was very proud of him. Eric's love and warmth will be missed; he will always have a place in our hearts. He was a special son and brother.

The Pellatz family would like to thank all their friends and extended family for the prayers and support. We also wish to thank Flagstaff Shepherd of the Hills Church and Fellowship for their kindness and support during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a scholarship fund in Eric's name.
