Esperanza
Trillo
Dec 10, 1915 — Feb 2, 2022
On February 2, 2022, the angels took Esperanza Trillo's hand. She passed peacefully at the age of 106 surrounded by her sons and daughter-in-law at the Olivia White Hospice House.
Esperanza was born on December 10, 1915, in El Paso, Texas to Maximo and Rosa Sanchez. She was very proud to be "from" Texas but was just as proud to have lived in Flagstaff since she was 3 months old. She joined the Guadalupanas at the age of 10, becoming the youngest member. As a child she remembered helping to build Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She devoted all her free time to church and was a very proud lifelong member. She married Cruz Trillo Sr. on December 29, 1947 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She is survived by her sons, Richard, Cruz (Lorraine) and Ruben; grandchildren Ricky (Jamie), P.J., Rosalinda (Joseph) Clerry, Regina (Roman) Narbaez and Miguel and 11 great grandchildren.
Esperanza was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cruz Sr.; siblings Elpdhidia, Lucas, Ramona and Connie.
Services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel; Rosary at 10:00 am, Mass at 10:30 am with Fr. Peter Dobrowski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Olivia White Hospice Home for the care they provided to "grandma" over the last 7 ½ years she resided there. Also, thank you to Dr. Mark Seby for caring for Esperanza for many years.
Donations may be made to Northland Hospice in remembrance of Esperanza.
