Eugene Rex Packer, 86, of Flagstaff AZ. died April 14th 2014. Gene Packer, son of Orville and Mildred Packer, loving husband of Dorothea Packer, passed away on April 14th at his home in Flagstaff, AZ after a long battle with failing kidneys. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy, and his two sons, Steve and Terry. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and one more due in November, living in Steamboat Springs and Flagstaff areas. Gene worked as an auto mechanic until his retirement in 1989, his love of cars continue thru-out his life and shared by his siblings. He also loved boating, dirt bikes, and playing with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held this Saturday at the Citizens' Cemetery (Veterans' Section), 1300 S. San Francisco Street, at 11 am.
