Everett L. Walter passed away at his home in Flagstaff Arizona on April 22, surrounded by the love of his family.

Everett was born on July 1st 1929 in Rensselaer Indiana to Granville and Blanche Walter. Everett and Imogene, his wife of 67 years, were married in December of 1951 and together they raised four sons. In 1962 Everett received his PhD degree in Mathematics from New Mexico State University which allowed him to pursue his career as Professor of Mathematics at Northern Arizona University. He retired from the University in the spring of 1994.

Everett had a true passion for his teaching and mathematics to the point of naming the family boat, the "AfterMath". He loved to go boating, fishing and exploring Lake Powell with family and friends. He also enjoyed family gatherings where he loved to share and tell stories. He was an avid walker and hiker, where he would enjoy his thoughts and love of nature. Everett was an Army veteran and a 50 year member of Kiwanis.

Everett was preceded in death by his father and mother, Granville and Blanche Walter, sisters Joan Reeder, Marjorie Kroger, Patricia Gray, son Dennis Walter, and grandson David Bolin. He is survived by his wife Imogene Walter, sons Doug and (Janet) Walter, Steve and (Mary) Walter, Jim and (Joyce)Walter, daughter in-law- Judy Walter, grandchildren- Paul, Travis, Seth, Joy and Carrie, 9 great grandchild and 2 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday April 30th 2019 at the Flagstaff Federated Community Church at 2 o'clock pm, to be followed by a reception at Rees Hall at the church.
