Francisco Magaña Jr.

September 1, 1937 - December 10, 2024

Our Devoted Husband, Father, "Tata", Brother and Uncle was called home to the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2024. Surrounded by his loving wife of 64 years Irene and his daughters. Francisco Jr. was born to Francisco Sr. and Mercedes Magaña. A lifetime resident of Flagstaff, he lived for his family and loved them all dearly.

Mr. Magaña was a United States Army Veteran. He worked for the Arizona State Highway Department for 38 years. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars. He went to school at Arizona State University where he played football. He enjoyed playing softball and basketball and even coached a women's softball team the "Pinenots" for many years.

Mr. Magaña is survived by his loving, dedicated wife of 65 years Irene; daughters, Mercy (Tony- deceased), Frances (Ralph), Michele (Anthony), Henrietta (Gerardo) and Shana; brothers, Victor (Rosie) and  Johnny (Jennie); grandchildren, Anthony (deceased), Lindsey, Jordan, Stephanie, Austin, Felipe, Jorge, Jeremiah and Derek; great-grandchildren, Valerie, Zoe, King, Anthony, Asher, Liam and Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Our Lady Guadalupe Church with a Rosary recited at 10:00 am and Mass celebrated at 10:30 am.
