Obituary

Frank Jason Randall 1908-2008 – Passed on peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Highland, Utah. Frank was born in Pine, Arizona to Frank Campkin and Lucinda Helen Leavitt Randall on January 3, 1908, the fourth of twelve children. Upon returning form a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he was employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Hunt, and they spent 58 wonderful years together. Frank and Mary moved to Flagstaff in 1937 where they raised their three children. He worked for Babbitt Brothers and at the Navajo Ordinance Depot during World War II and until he retired. While in Flagstaff, he served on the Community Concert Board, the Flagstaff Hospital Board and he was associated with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities including Bishop, Counselor in Stake Presidencies and Patriarch. Following the death of his wife, Mary, he took up residency with his daughter, Idon, in Utah.

Frank loved life, people, the outdoors, gardening and his family. He was kind to all who crossed his path. His leadership, love and compassion will be missed by those who knew him. We are grateful for his example and for his strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Frank's legacy is his family and his service to his fellowmen. He is survived by his children: James Arvin (Nancy), Idon (Martin) Openshaw, Susan (Kendall) Adamson, his grandchildren Carin, James, Cynthi, Martin (deceased), Anne, Lisa, Stephen, Michelle, Scott, David, Stacey, Jason, Julie and Tammy, 35 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Erma and Faye, brother, Eldon, sister-in-law Verdell and brother-in-law Arthur.
